Clay Walker's Father Dies This Week

Clay Walker told fans his father passed away this week.

"Thank you guys for all the prayers... My Papa is herding cattle and pickin guitar in the green pastures of his Maker:). I am blessed," he posted on Twitter.

Clay's publicist confirms that Ernest Clayton Walker Sr. died, but had no other details.

Clay, the oldest of five children, got his first guitar from his dad when Clay was 9. And Clay carries his dad's name, as he is Ernest Clayton Walker Jr.

Our sympathies to the Walker family.
