Clay Walker, Fiancée Set the Date

Clay Walker and his fiancée, Louisiana native Jessica Craig, will be married Sept. 28 in New Orleans

Clay Walker’s got a lot to be happy about these days. His new album, Fall, is getting good reviews, he had a hit with the CD’s first single, “‘Fore She Was Mama,” and the title cut follow-up single is in the Top 40 and still climbing. But the big news is Clay and his fashion model fiancée, Jessica Craig, have set a date and place for their wedding—Sept. 28 in New Orleans. Clay popped the question in November on the steps of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Galveston, Texas, where Jessica’s grandpa asked her grandma to marry him. If the wedding in Jess’s native Louisiana is half as romantic as the proposal—which included a carriage ride, a quartet singing “Edelweiss,” the bride-to-be’s parents and Clay’s kids from a previous marriage in attendance and Clay kneeling down to wash Jessica’s feet—there should be lots of joyful tears. Best of luck, you two!
