Chris Young’s “Nanny” Quilts Away to Help St. Jude’s Kids

“I think it’s really cool that Nanny has taken up the cause to help raise money for these incredible St. Jude kids,” Chris says.

Gotta love this: Chris Young's grandmother, a.k.a. "Nanny," is jumping into his fundraising efforts for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, the Memphis facility that helps kids with cancer, regardless of their parents' ability to pay.

Chris announced on his website Monday (May 7) that Nanny will start making homemade quilts each month to auction off online.

“I think it’s really cool that Nanny has taken up the cause to help raise money for these incredible St. Jude kids who are fighting for their lives,” Chris said. “I hope my fans will check out her handmade quilts each month and consider making a bid to help support St. Jude.”

May's quilt includes squares with song titles that stretch throughout Chris' career, including his first hit, "Drinkin' Me Lonely."

Fans have to register on Chris' website to go to the Forum/Chatter page to bid on the quilt.
