Chris Young to Return to Brad Paisley Tour After Life-Threatening Infection

That doesn’t stop Brad from teasing his opening act, joking that Chris actually had plastic surgery.

So it turns out the leg infection Chris Young had was really scary and even life-threatening.

After surgery and treatment, though, Chris plans to be back on the Brad Paisley tour Thursday night (Aug. 22). And yes, Brad loves and respects Chris—but that didn’t stop the headliner from teasing his opening act.

And Brad told reporters Tuesday (Aug. 19), “It’s healing really well. He just felt like he wanted a little lift in his jaw line.”

But seriously, folks, Brad says he knows firsthand how frightening infections can be.

“I had a family member die from toxic shock from a staph-type infection at a young age,” he said.

“You don’t realize that something like . . . one of the really bad skin infections can kill you, but it can. It’s crazy.”
