Chris Young, Rascal Flatts, Thomas Rhett to Headline SpringJam in Panama City Beach, Fla.
Old Dominion, Kelsea Ballerini, Cam, Brothers Osborne and more to perform
Panama City Beach is gearing up for a weekend of music and fun in the sun, for their first ever SpringJam. The three-day event follows the inaugural Gulf Coast Jam, held last September, which drew more than 18,000 people each day to the coastal town.
SpringJam, which will be held April 7 to 9, boasts an all-star lineup of stars. Headlined by Chris Young, Rascal Flatts, Thomas Rhett and Old Dominion, more than a dozen other artists are slated to appear, including Kelsea Ballerini, Old Dominion, Cam, Drake White, RaeLynn, Brothers Osborne and more.
“My wife’s from Florida, and so we can’t wait to get back down there,” Rascal Flatts’ Joe Don Rooney tells Nash Country Weekly. “I’m sure we’ll do some golfing down there, too.
“I love it,” Jay DeMarcus interjects, adding that festivals are among his favorite places to perform. “I think it’s awesome. We’ll take a golf cart out sometimes and go to the campgrounds after the show and just stop by everybody’s parties. That’s one of our favorite things to do. It reminds us of being kids, when you used to go hang out, and go to festivals and camp out. It’s a good time. I love it myself.”
Old Dominion will head to the Sunshine State right before they begin their run as the opening act on Kenny Chesney’s summer tour, which lead singer Matt Ramsey says is the perfect way to kick off the season.
“Those are always fun for us,” Matt says. “I feel like our music is very suited to summertime. I’m a summertime person and a warm weather person and a beach person. I hate winter. So when we get out in the sunshine like that, it’s really fun. We like to bring a party, and whenever there’s sunshine like that on a beach, we’ll step it up a little more. Our smiles will be a little bigger. Anytime we get to be on a beach, we love it.”
Tickets and more information are available on the SpringJam website.
