If autograph seekers were counting on collecting a Chris Young signature during this year’s CMA Music Festival, they may have to come back next year.

Following his fan club party Thursday night (June 5) in Nashville, Chris returned home and began to prepare a late dinner when he cut his left hand. According to a press release, Chris was immediately taken to an area hospital and was advised by the attending physicians to cancel a four-hour autograph session scheduled for Friday (June 6).

He is expected to make a full recovery and will return to CMA Music Fest Saturday night (June 7) to perform as part of the evening’s LP Field lineup, which also includes Keith Urban, Sara Evans, Little Big Town, Darius Rucker and Florida Georgia Line.

Country Weekly wishes Chris a speedy recovery!
