Chris Young Hosts Tornado Benefit

Chris Young is hosting a benefit concert for the victims of recent tornadoes at the Murphy Center at Middle Tennessee St. University in Murfreesboro, Tenn., May 1.

The tornadoes touched down in Murfreesboro, Chris' hometown, on April 10. Chris' family home suffered only minor damage but several of their neighbors' homes were completely destroyed. Proceeds will help support victims of the recent tornadoes in Rutherford County through both the Heart of Tennessee Chapter of the American Red Cross and Tennessee Emergency Response Fund of The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee. Tickets to the event are $15 and may be purchased at murfreesborobenefit.com. The show will feature performances by Chris, special guest Richie McDonald and others to be announced. Pre-show and silent auction begin at 5 p.m., with the main show to follow at 7 p.m. Chris Young & Friends Tornado Relief Benefit Presented by MTSU and The Big 98 WSIX will be hosted by Newman from Nashville radio station The Big 98 WSIX-FM.
