Chris Stapleton Reveals Talent for Comedy on Jimmy Kimmel

Concept album includes all the words you hate the most.

Chris Stapleton may seem serious or downright bashful in award-show and late-night talk show appearances, but when Jimmy Kimmel offered him an opportunity to showcase his “concept album,” he revealed a different side of his personality.

Jimmy set up the bit, explaining that Chris has been writing songs using the “most irritating words in the English language,” including “panties,” “delish,” and the detested “moist.” And Chris does a pretty good job of selling them with a straight face and his incredibly soulful and gritty voice. Well, except for “nom-nom, yummy, nom-nom.” That just never needs to happen again.

Obviously, it’s a joke, but it’s fun to see the Grammy and CMA Award winner cut loose.

WARNING: Some may find the language offensive.
