Chris Cagle Arrested for Assault

Chris Cagle and his girlfriend, Jennifer Tant, were arrested the morning of May 28 for domestic assault.

Chris and Jennifer had been to a club near Chris’ home when they became engaged in a verbal argument. According to police, when officers arrived at Chris’ home in the western part of Nashville, where they both live, the two were intoxicated and showed signs of physical abuse. Police also said that the couple refused to leave the home. According to the affidavit, Tant told police that she would rather go to jail than leave the home. Under Tennessee domestic violence laws, both parties were considered to be the primary aggressor and both Chris and Jennifer were taken into custody. The couple must stay in jail until the afternoon of May 28. Chris was scheduled to leave Nashville May 28 for a concert performance in Florida.
