You knew Blake Shelton would be in the middle of some trouble and chaos on the new NBC vocal coaching show The Voice.

And on the opening night, he was.

Blake found himself battling with rocker Adam Levine when both wanted a 20-year-old Nashville country singer for their teams.

Adam to Blake: “Man, if you weren't 6-foot-5, I'd kick your a--!” (PS: The country boy, Patrick Thomas, went with Blake’s team.)

And later, Blake squared off against pop-rap singer Cee Lo Green over a 16-year-old alt-rock singer.

“At your age, too much change in your life can be devastating,” Blake told the teen girl. “Cee Lo is gonna have you dress like Batman one day. It’s gonna be too much.”

Cee Lo: “I can't promise you I won't.”

The girl also went with Team Blake.

The sassiest Blake came out toward the end after judge Christina Aguilera told a contestant, “I wanted to get lost in you; I wanted to really feel you.”

Blake: “Christina Aguilera already wants to feel you. That's awesome!”

Christina: “Blake!”
