Oklahoma stop offers opportunity to help
CHICKS OPEN TOUR IN DETROIT
The Dixie Chicks drew more than 11,000 fans to Joe Louis Arena in Detroit, Friday night, July 21, for the opening of their Accidents & Accusations Tour.
After strolling onstage to the strains of “Hail to the Chief,” the trio of Natalie Maines, Emily Robison and Martie Maguire opened with two new songs, “Lubbock or Leave It” and “Truth No. 2,” reports the Flint Journal. The Chicks also reprised some of their earlier hits, including “Goodbye Earl” and “Wide Open Spaces.” The tour stops in Philadelphia Monday night, July 24, and in Boston over the weekend.
