The battle rounds start airing Monday night (Oct. 14) on NBC’s The Voice, and Blake Shelton and his team mentor, Cher, had fun, she said.

“Blake and I never stopped busting each other’s chops the whole time, and I’m much better at it than he is,” Cher told ABC News Radio. “He got the worst of it almost the whole time.”

Cher also said she admired how hard Blake works to help the folks on his team.

“I just so respected how he believes in what he’s doing and how, you know, at the time that he’s doing it he’s giving it every single, everything in his body, you know?” she said.

“Like, when he would get, he’d get up and start walking around, but you could see it in, in the way his body moved that he was really, you know, reaching down deep to try to help these kids.”

Looks like Cher tried to match Blake’s intensity: “I was exhausted at the end of it.”
