CHELY WRIGHT'S OPEN LETTER TO FANS

"Hello everyone from Calgary.

I'm currently in my hotel room watching CNN in absolute shock and horror over the events that took place Tuesday. Every single one of you has been touched by this tragedy in some form or fashion - some on a more personal level than others. It's difficult to find words to describe how I'm feeling right now as I'm temporarily stuck in Canada due to the flight cancellations. We had such a great time at the CCMA Awards Monday night, went out for a nice dinner then headed back to our rooms.

Tuesday morning as we were getting ready board our plane, when we learned of the tragedies and watched them unfold on tv with the rest of the world. Immediately I thought of people that I know personally that work on Wall Street (Chuck) and their safety. Memories flooded my mind of the first time I saw the World Trade Center. Then I thought back about a few short years ago I played an acoustic concert at the foot of the Towers.

These events are the absolute worst that I have ever seen. It is now that our Nation needs us the most. Please join me in supporting our country as we struggle to overcome the disasters. There are tens of thousands of men and women in our armed forces that are willing to do whatever their country asks of them to ensure our continued freedom -- please let them all know how much you appreciate them. Let everyone know what they mean to you.

Thousands of innocent people have lost their lives - let's support their survivors in any and every way possible. Please donate to your local Red Cross chapter. It's times like these that I realize how important it is to be appreciative of everything I have every day. Thanks to all of you for loving me and supporting me. Please know that I feel exactly the same about you. All of you are in my thoughts and prayers as we face this national disaster.

Love, Chely"
