Congratulations are in order for country star Chely Wright and her wife, Lauren Blitzer Wright, who announced during an interview with Howard Bragman on Gwist TV that they are expecting twins.

"We're excited to be parents," said Chely. We hope we don't mess it up too badly. But we can do it! And we feel like God blessed us with twins."

"But we apparently needed to have twins, so we're happy!" added Lauren.

Chely, country music's first openly gay singer, is carrying the identical twins and is expected to deliver in June. The couple was married in August 2011 in Connecticut.
