Cheeseburgers Are on the Menu for Hillary Scott’s Wedding

Lady Antebellum’s lady talks wedding plans.

Though Lady Antebellum's Hillary Scott hasn’t revealed a wedding date to fiancé Chris Tyrell, she's already spilled some details on the upcoming wedding. For starters, she's letting her groom take the lead on the planning. “He's been so helpful,” Hillary tells EOnline. “We’re promoting the album and planning the tour and traveling a whole lot, so he's actually talking to the planner more than I am right now, which I’m very thankful for. I’m a lucky girl.”

Letting the groom take the lead in planning might lead to some rather interesting food choices during the couple’s reception. “We did ask him, ‘What kind of groom’s cake do you want?’ and he goes, ‘I really want a cheeseburger [cake],’” Hillary says, laughing. “So I think we’re going to do like sliders for the groom’s cake because he’s not a sweets person.”

Fellow Lady Antebellum member Charles Kelley offered up his skills as a wedding singer. “I can do a mean Michael Bolton,” he says. And it turns out Charles used to be a DJ. “I used to DJ middle school dances back in the day,” Charles admits. “Boyz II Men would do it and Tim McGraw’s ‘Don't Take the Girl’ was always a tear-jerker. It brought everyone together. And then when I needed them to rock a little bit, it was [Sir Mix-A-Lot’s] ‘Baby Got Back’ or ‘Y.M.C.A.’” says Charles.
