Country Music Hall of Fame member Charley Pride sat down with Country Weekly recently to talk about a variety of topics, including his upcoming tour of Canada and his friendship with fellow legends George Jones and Ray Price.

Charley recalls one particular trip to Canada during May, figuring that winter would be over. “We get there and we woke up the next morning and the car was covered with snow, all the way up to the windows,” Charley says, laughing. On a more serious note, Charley emotionally remembers his close friends George Jones and Ray Price, both of whom recently passed away. “I still miss [George] a lot,” Charley says. “Ray Price was another good friend. Ray used to be my neighbor when we lived in this one suburb of Dallas.”

You’ll also find out what Charley’s up to these days and which four artists dominate his iPod in this revealing interview.

Charley’s lively conversation appears in the Feb. 24 issue of Country Weekly, on newsstands now.
