CATCHING UP WITH TRACE ADKINS

You may be asking yourself, "What's Trace Adkins been up to lately?" Well, we've got the scoop.

Trace's new single, "Chrome," about a woman and her love of driving, has a fan in political talk show host G. Gordon Liddy.

Liddy has an extensive collection of cars and motorcycles and has taken to the song, even going so far as to call it "his" song. He's even played it on his show -- normally a strictly talk radio program.

In another politically-oriented update, Trace recently received a handwritten letter from ex-First Lady Barbara Bush, saying that she will be a fan of his forever.

Last month, Trace met her husband, former President George Bush, at the annual USO Gala. During his performance, Trace dedicated his song "Rest of Mine" to Mrs. Bush, and joked that he was disappointed that she wasn't able to attend because he wanted to give her a big bear hug.

Lastly, Trace will be on his way this weekend to his old alma mater -- Sarepta High School in Louisiana.

Both of Trace's daughters are on the homecoming court this year, and Trace will be there to sing the national anthem before the football game starts and to lend his support to his kids.
