CATCHING UP WITH CHRIS CAGLE

Chris Cagle has been pretty busy lately. His debut album, entitled "Play It Loud," recently went gold, and his current single, "I Breathe In, I Breathe Out," is at #2 on the country charts.

Cagle is also nominated for an ACM Award in the Top New Male Vocalist category.

In an interview with his hometown newspaper, the "Baytown Sun," he says of his career that he's loved "every minute of it." In the interview, Cagle also talks about how he got the idea for "Play It Loud" -- by listening to the radio.

"There were a lot of songs about leaving and the pain it causes," he says. "But I wanted to write one about getting through it."

As for the ACM Awards, Cagle says he's not in this business for the glamour. "I don't expect to win it, but to know that the industry feels that I belong in that group is a big honor," he says, adding: "Don't get me wrong -- I'd love to win."
