CATCH BRAD ON "CROSSROADS"

Tune in tonight to catch Brad Paisley slinging guitars with pop singer/songwriter John Mayer on the CMT series "Crossroads." Brad and John make their debut at 10 p.m. Eastern, but they actually taped the episode earlier this year in New York. "We come at things the same way, and there were so many weird similarities between the two of us, not necessarily musical," Brad tells The Tennessean. "We both have very dry and very dark senses of humor. We stood there and dished all night long, joked around about people and ourselves and our musical styles. I teased him about being a rock star. Anytime he asked for something in his monitors, I'd say, 'He's a rock star: You keep him happy and then worry about the country guy.' He'd come back with, 'This country singer has NASCAR in his ears right now. He's not even listening to what we're doing.' The humor helped bridge a musical gap that might have seemed insurmountable to an outsider."
