Carter’s Chord’s Becky Robertson Engaged

Spring wedding in the works.

Becky Robertson of the trio Carter’s Chord is engaged to musician/producer Jeremiah Scott. Becky is the oldest of the sibling trio, which includes sisters Emily and Joanna. Emily is married to Trailer Choir singer Marc “Butter” Fortney.

Becky and Jeremiah became engaged on Aug. 23, Becky’s 30th birthday, on the campus of Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, Tenn., where they first met nine years earlier. Both graduated from the University with degrees in Recording Industry.

“Jeremiah knows that I am a super sentimental person so he wanted to do something personal for a proposal,” Becky tells countryweekly.com in an e-mail statement. “On my 30th birthday, he told me that he wanted to take me on a motorcycle ride. We rode down to Murfreesboro and pulled behind the mass communications building at Middle Tennessee State. We walked to the exact spot where we met nine years ago. He surprised me by pulling out a ring and asking me to marry him. I said ‘yes’ and a lot of laughter and tears followed.”

The couple is planning for a spring 2012 wedding.
