Carrie, Vince and Others Go to Bat for Charity

Carrie Underwood, Vince Gill and Rodney Atkins are among the stars lined up to play in the Lynnco Custom Cycles 17th Annual City of Hope Celebrity Softball Challenge Presented by the Gibson Foundation, June 7, in Nashville.

The Celebrity Softball Challenge is one of the most popular events during the CMA Music Festival, as the stars show off their softball prowess and throw in some hilarious hijinks during the game. Teams representing Grand Ole Opry Live and Blair Garner’s After MidNite compete in the annual contest, which raises money for City of Hope, a cancer research and treatment center. The game gets underway at 1 p.m. from Nashville’s Greer Stadium. For ticket information, go to ticketmaster.com or call (615) 255-9600.
