Carrie Underwood Still Loves Watching “American Idol”

Maybe Kelly Clarkson was right: Carrie Underwood should've been a judge on American Idol this season. After all, how many platinum-selling, Grammy award-winning artists watch almost every single episode of the show?

The former Idol champ tells reporters that she has only missed one so far this season. "And I'm really mad at myself. I couldn't watch it, but anyway, that's a whole different story," she added.

Carrie also thinks the judges picked for this season are doing a good job, including Keith Urban. "I got the chance to talk to Keith about it, and I think he's just having a great time," Carrie said. "He's just kind of excited to do something really different."

And what does Carrie think of the Nicki Minaj/Mariah Carey tension? "There's an interesting balance that's going on on the judges' panel, but it makes it, makes it interesting."

OK, so Carrie didn't want to be a judge, but it looks like she definitely has some skills in diplomacy.
