Carrie Underwood Sends Her First Twitter Messages
The singer already has more than 37,000 followers on Twitter.
Until now, Carrie Underwood has preferred to connect with her fans via her blog on her official website, even as other top country artists such as Taylor Swift, Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert and Carrie's CMA Awards co-host Brad Paisley regularly send tweets to their fans. It seems that Carrie has decided to give the Twitter world a try with @carrieunderwood. The singer, who just released her latest single, “Good Girl,” greeted her Twitter fans on Friday (Feb. 24).
“Excited to have another way to connect with my fans from my team and me,” Carrie tweeted. Earlier she communicated, “Hello Twitter World!”
Within a few hours, the twitter account had garnered more than 37,000 followers. Carrie has added several of her own folks and organizations she’s following, including Brad Paisley, Reba McEntire, Miranda Lambert, the Nashville Predators, husband Mike Fisher, Christian rock band Thousand Foot Krutch, Steven Tyler, American Idol, IveyCakes (a Nashville cupcake-making company that supplied cupcakes for the singer's 2010 wedding) and Parlour 3 (the Brentwood, Tenn., beauty salon headed by Carrie's makeup artist and hairstylist, Melissa Schleicher).
