Carrie Underwood Performs with PS22 Chorus

The chorus and singer groove to “Good Girl”

Carrie Underwood's busy gearing up for the release of her fourth album, Blown Away, on May 1, but while in New York, she made a visit to perform her single "Good Girl" with the PS22 chorus, a group of 65 fifth graders from Public School 22 in Staten Island, N.Y. The group is led by director Gregg Breinberg.

Both artist and the students were clearly having fun; with Carrie even grooving throughout the song and delivering a strong lead vocal, which she alternated with a talented young soloist from PS22 named Kevin. "I feel like I'm a part of the choir now," Carrie told the students after the performance. "I would like to thank all of you guys for having me here and singing my songs and making them sound better than I ever could. It just made my heart happy to be here, and I would have loved to have been part of your choir way back when."

PS22 has become a well-known chorus in its own right, having performed on Oprah, Good Morning America, Today, and at the 2011 Academy Awards.
