Carrie Underwood to Perform at CMA Music Fest

This is what I call a surprise!

Instead of announcing her upcoming appearance during this year's CMA Music Festival via a press release, Carrie Underwood announced the performance to one very special fan.

Carrie superfan Riley Ahlstrand wrote into WKRN, a Nashville television news station, asking if Carrie Underwood will perform at the CMA Music Fest this year.

WKRN sent reporter Brad Schmitt to Riley's house to help Carrie make the announcement to the wide-eyed teen.

While interviewing the teen, Brad's cell phone rang. It was Carrie Underwood herself. Brad gave the phone to Riley, and Carrie Underwood confirmed to the teen that she would in fact perform at this year's CMA Music Fest. "This is the best thing that has ever happened, said Riley, with tears still streaming down her face. "I couldn't have dreamed anything cooler than this!"
