Simon Cowell called it way back when: He said Carrie Underwood would be the hottest-selling star ever on American Idol.

Simon can gloat away (again). The Forbes list of top American Idol earners for 2013 is out, and Carrie is on top—by a long shot.

Carrie brought in $31 million, including earnings from endorsements of Olay and Vitamin Water, and then there’s her Blown Away album and tour, of course.

No. 2 is Kelly Clarkson, with $7 million. Scotty McCreery is No. 6 with $3 million and Kellie Pickler is No. 8 with $1.5 million.
