Taylor Swift’s friends All-American Rejects and rapper B.o.B. are also part of the show.

Back in the day, Jerry Lewis hosted a Labor Day telethon for the Muscular Dystrophy Association that lasted all weekend long.

These days, it's a three-hour syndicated TV special on Sunday night—starting at 8 p.m. ET Sept. 2, to be specific.

Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw and Luke Bryan will be country's representatives to the special, called MDA Show of Strength.

There also will be pop stars o' plenty, including Taylor Swift's pals and collaborators All-American Rejects and rapper B.o.B.

The special also will include some terrific stories about folks battling muscular dystrophy.

The MDA has generated a list of TV stations across the country that will carry the special.
