Carrie Takes Carnival Ride, Oct. 23

Carrie Underwood’s upcoming new album, set for release Oct. 23, will be titled Carnival Ride.

Carrie explains that she chose the title because it was a relatable metaphor. “You step onto this ride called life, and it’s a crazy thing you don’t know anything about, but you get on it anyway,” she says. “That’s why Carnival Ride works as my album title, because it describes the wonderful craziness that I’ve been through over the last couple years.” The album’s first single, “So Small,” has already cracked the Top 10 after just four weeks.
