CARRIE TO PERFORM ON AMERICAN MUSIC AWARDS

Carrie Underwood, the reigning CMA Female Vocalist of the Year, is set to perform on the 2006 American Music Awards telecast on ABC, Nov. 21, at 8 p.m. ET.

Carrie is nominated for two awards: Favorite Female Artist in the Country category and Favorite New Breakthrough Artist, which covers all genres of music. Rascal Flatts also picked up a pair of nominations in the Country category—Favorite Band, Duo or Group and Favorite Album, Me and My Gang. Kenny Chesney, Toby Keith and Keith Urban will vie for the Favorite Male Artist award.
