Carrie Makes Africa Trip

Carrie Underwood has returned from her second humanitarian trip to Africa, where she visited orphanages and health centers near Luanda, Angola.

Carrie's visit was part of American Idol's “Idol Gives Back” charitable program, and a special video package will air on American Idol Tuesday, May 12, at 8 p.m. ET on FOX-TV. Carrie visited an all-girl orphanage in Luanda, where the girls performed songs and poetry for her after she delivered school supplies to the orphanage. Carrie also participated in the area's cause to help fight malaria.
