Carrie Is “a Little Happy” NHL Hockey Is Stalled This Season

Carrie’s hockey-playing hubby is among the hundreds of players locked out by owners in a contract dispute.

Millions of NHL hockey fans—country star Dierks Bentley included—are totally bummed that there won't be much of a season this year because owners and players can't agree at the bargaining table.

But country star Carrie Underwood—married to player Mike Fisher of the Nashville Predators—isn't exactly bummed out about the canceled season.

"Is it wrong for me to be a little happy?" Carrie asks The Tennessean newspaper. "I mean, I’m sorry for you, but it’s great for me."

Not that Carrie expects to see that much more of Mike.

"He’s such a disciplined guy that he has to train and make sure he’s ready regardless of what’s going on,” she says. “He’s got so much to do on his end, and I certainly don’t want to be the cause of him not being able to give it his all.”
