Carrie Joins Opry, May 10
Carrie Underwood officially becomes a member of the Grand Ole Opry, Saturday, May 10, at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville––and you can see the ceremony live on GAC’s Opry Live at 8 p.m. ET.
Carrie will perform on the show along with Dierks Bentley and Aaron Tippin. Other Opry stars will be on hand to welcome Carrie into the Opry family. Opry member Vince Gill is especially excited about Carrie’s induction. “I think that the ability to go and get somebody like Carrie Underwood . . . it gives the Opry great marquee value,” Vince told Dial-Global. “She’s really got the talent to have longevity and be a major force for a long, long time.”
