Carrie to help Randy Travis celebrate 25 Opry years

Randy’s the guy who told Carrie she was being inducted in 2008

Do you remember Carrie Underwood’s face back in 2008 when Randy Travis walked up during her Grand Ole Opry performance to invite her to be an Opry member? Big smiles, then tears—very moving.
Carrie is repaying the favor Oct. 4 by singing at Randy’s 25th anniversary as a member of the Grand Ole Opry. But no word on whether they’ll do a duet of “I Told You So,” the 1988 Randy hit that Carrie made back into a big hit in 2007.
Carrie will be joined by Josh Turner, John Anderson, Gene Watson, Connie Smith and others in honoring Randy.
That celebration will air at 9 p.m. ET Oct. 15 on GAC.
