Carrie Discusses Husband, Being Vegan and Family in Australia

Carrie visits The Circle

Carrie Underwood recently appeared on The Circle, which could be considered Australia's version of The View. Carrie revealed that she recently switched from being a vegetarian to becoming a vegan, and gushed about her family and hubby Mike Fisher during her interview, which you can watch below.

Carrie, who grew up on a farm in Oklahoma, said it was difficult to become a vegetarian until she moved away from home. “I didn’t eat red meat. When I moved away at about 21, I became vegetarian. I recently made the switch to vegan. I’m kind of lactose-intolerant.”

Carrie also talked about having a support team around her that helps to keep her grounded. “My parents want nothing to do with the entertainment business, but they love their daughter.” The same goes for her hubby, Mike Fisher. “My husband’s wonderful. He doesn’t care what I do, unless we’re going to a Backstreet Boys concert and he’s like, ‘Can we get tickets?’” she said with a laugh. “Other than that, you have to be mindful of it and go with your instincts.”

The laid-back Carrie says she takes thing as they come in her career. “There are no rules. There’s no book that someone can give you on here’s how to be a celebrity, how to be in the music business. You just roll with it and surround yourself with good people.”
