Carrie’s New Single Hits Radio

Carrie Underwood’s latest single, “So Small,” the first from her upcoming new album, debuts on country radio stations Tuesday, July 31.

The song was co-written by Carrie along with Hillary Lindsey, who wrote Carrie’s No. 1 hits “Jesus, Take the Wheel” and “Wasted,” and Luke Laird. Carrie says that the new single is “a feeling song on how people invest so much of their time and energy into things that aren’t really important. And you don’t really realize that until it’s too late.” Carrie adds, “We’re all guilty of it, as I know I am, of just letting silly things get in the way.” Carrie’s new, as-yet-untitled album, the follow-up to her smash debut, Some Hearts, is slated to be released Oct. 23.
