Carrie’s Carnival Ride Hits Stores

Carrie Underwood releases her hotly anticipated new CD, Carnival Ride, to stores Tuesday, Oct. 23.

The album, featuring the hit single “So Small,” is the follow-up to Carrie’s multiplatinum debut, Some Hearts. Carrie talks about the album and her career on GAC Nights, Oct. 23, at 10 p.m. ET. She is also slated for guest appearances on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno, Oct. 29, and The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Nov. 5. Carnival Ride is decidedly more country than the previous effort, Carrie tells Entertainment Weekly. “The first one definitely had a purpose to serve,” she says. “I’d gained a big following of people who were not at all country music listeners. I want to be a country artist in a country world with country fans.” Look for Carrie on the cover of the Nov. 19 issue of Country Weekly, on newsstands Nov. 5.
