Call Him “Goldringer”

Joe Nichols now has his first ever gold digital single with more than 500,000 downloads of his recent No. 1 hit, “Gimmie That Girl.”

“When they download it, put it as a ringtone, that’s a pretty big sign of approval, I think!” Joe tells Country Weekly.

Joe says the song gets great response in concert, as good as his past hit “Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off.”

“‘Gimmie That Girl’—girls really like this song, and guys really love the reaction of the girls,” Joe says, laughing.
