Brett Eldredge Says Blake Shelton Inspired His Twitter Weirdness

Brett Eldredge’s Twitter page invites fans to “step into the weirdness.” And he ain’t kiddin’.

In just the last week or so, Brett has posted these random thoughts:

  1. “I Need you, like my uncle joe in Oklahoma needs the rain....”
  2. “Milwaukee is a really fun city name...I think I’ll say it at least 20 more times for fun...join me if you’d like...M”
  3. “Just jammed my middle fanger playing bball....So just know if my middle finger sticks out when I’m playin guitar, I’m not flippin ya off”

It’s probably no surprise that Blake Shelton inspired such random, uh, well, weirdness.

“I remember when Blake really, like, just started being Blake completely, and just didn’t care,” Brett told ABC News Radio.

“He especially stepped out on Twitter and did that, and when he was completely honest with his fans and with people on Twitter and just was Blake, people accept you,” he said.

“Just like a songwriter. It’s like, if you’re gonna be open about telling the story of what really happened and how that girl broke your heart or whatever, but it’s true and you’re not afraid to say it, then people are gonna wanna listen.”
