Brantley Gilbert Says He’s Keeping Love Songs on New Album Despite Breakup

“It’s kinda like how tattoos are chapters of your life,” he said.

Yes, Brantley Gilbert put a lot of love songs on his upcoming album, and yes, they were inspired by then-fiancée Jana Kramer.

So what's Brantley gonna do with those songs now that he has gone through his, uh, "disengagement," as he calls it?

"The love songs are still on there," Brantley tells CMT.

"I didn't change anything. It's kinda like how tattoos are chapters of your life. And all my records are chapters of my life," he said.

"They all tell stories, and obviously she's a big part of the story."

And the story continues with this pronouncement at his concert Sunday (Sept. 15) in Chicago.

"I recently became a bachelor again and I've never seen people so happy about a breakup," he said to cheers.
