Brantley Gilbert Pulls a Big Stunt

He performs his own stunts while shooting the video for "Kick It in the Sticks."

You'd expect a bad boy to not give a flip. But Brantley Gilbert isn't really a bad boy and he does give a flip—especially in the video for his latest single, "Kick It in the Sticks."

At about the two-minute mark in the video, Brantley—in cowboy boots, jeans and ball cap—does a back flip from the roof to the hood of the junk car he's performing from. He tells CountryWeekly.com, "I was going to do that with a guitar and my guitar player talked me out of it. And it was probably a good thing he did. It was raining and everything else." Maybe so, but his ball cap stayed on his head.

Brantley looks pretty jubilant when he lands the move, but one thing did stick in his craw at the video shoot: "We bought that car for $300 and it still ran until that big tractor thing that you see in that video ran over it out of nowhere. . . . So, I was out a car for $300. And I was going to keep it."
