Brad Paisley’s Favorite Song He Ever Recorded?

Brad Paisley took to Twitter Thursday night (April 4) to do a Q&A to plug his new album, Wheelhouse, but his most powerful answer was about a song he released more than 12 years ago.

A fan asked Brad what his favorite song was that he has ever recorded.

The answer is “He Didn’t Have to Be,” released in 1999, only the second single Brad ever released and his first to go No. 1. The song was inspired by co-writer and friend Kelley Lovelace’s journey with having a stepson.

Brad tweeted: “It was the first time I realized that you could be tremendously successful being honest.”
