Brad Paisley, Zac Brown Are Potential Oscar Nominees

Final nominees will be revealed Jan. 24.

Brad Paisley and Zac Brown are both potential Oscar nominees. Songs from both artists are contending with 37 additional songs for the final nominations for Best Original Song.

Brad Paisley wrote and recorded "Collision of Worlds" for the soundtrack of Cars 2, while Zac Brown, along with Wyatt Durrette, Drew Pearson and Anne Preven, wrote "Where the River Goes" for the Footloose soundtrack. (Zac Brown recorded the song for the soundtrack as well.)

Final nominees will be revealed on Jan. 24 and the Oscars will be held on Feb. 26 at Los Angeles' Kodak Theatre.
