BRAD PAISLEY CELEBRATES #1 HIT SINGLE

Brad Paisley's hit, "I'm Gonna Miss Her," has reached the #1 position and he celebrated in style.

The song is a tribute to the sport of fishing, and appropriately enough, Brad arrived at the event -- held at a Nashville-area marina -- in a brand new bass boat.

Brad accepted a plaque and waxed nostalgic about how the song originated. "I've always been a big fan of this song ever since we wrote it at Belmont University as seniors," he said to the gathered press.

"I felt a sense of fate with this song that I wanted tossing it 'cause I like to fish. At one point this song was on hold for Garth Brooks, Alan Jackson and George Strait. Fortunately, none of them cut it."

Brad also talked about his upcoming tour, sponsored by CMT, saying: "We expect it to be a lot of fun. We're going to do our best to be unexpected, just like the 'Most Wanted Live' show. Speaking of life on the road, practical jokes seem to come with the territory during a tour, and according to Brad, this one will be no exception.

"Practical jokes begin directly after this party," he said. "Ask Blake Shelton. We played with him last weekend, and he still smells bad."
