Brad Asks Crowd If Scotty McCreery Is His Love Child

The Virtual Reality Tour opens with jokes, great special effects and a wayward net or two.

Brad Paisley's opening night on the Virtual Reality Tour, Thursday (Jan. 12), proved to be a winner for the sold-out Grand Rapids, Mich., crowd—and it scored Brad a terrific review in the local paper.

"It was country meets the future, and the future looked dazzingly bright," the reviewer for The Grand Rapids Press wrote. "Paisley and his immense talents were the centerpiece."

The jokes started early. During the opening number, "Camouflage," Brad sang/said to the crowd, "All you Grand Rapids rednecks sure look good in camouflage."

During his performance of "Celebrity," the 3-D screens flashed fake tabloid headlines, and one read, “Is Scotty McCreery Brad Paisley’s Love Child?”

The American Idol winner—and one of Brad's opening acts—had a great time, regardless of jokes about his lineage.

"What a night! So honored and blessed to be out on the road w/ Brad and the Band Perry," Scotty tweeted, along with a pic of the crowd at show's end.
