Brad and Taylor Top CMT Awards

Brad Paisley and Taylor Swift were the big winners at the 2009 CMT Music Awards, held Tuesday night at the Sommet Center in downtown Nashville.

Taylor took Video of the Year and Female Video of the Year for “Love Story.” Brad’s “Waitin’ on a Woman” was named Male Video of the Year, while his Keith Urban duet “Start a Band” won Collaborative Video of the Year. Brad also shared CMT Performance of the Year honors with Alan Jackson, George Strait and Dierks Bentley for “Country Boy,” from the CMT Giants: Alan Jackson special. Performers included Rascal Flatts, Keith Urban, Kellie Pickler, Dierks Bentley, Darius Rucker and others. Taylor and her CMT Crossroads pals Def Leppard closed the show with a rendition of the hard-rock band’s 1980s hit “Pour Some Sugar on Me.”
