Born to Bogey

Uh, do what? Golfer John Daly cut a country album? Indeed. It’s called I Only Know One Way, and it’s out on a digital label called GMV Nashville.

Guess it’s not so random. After all, country will attract the random celebrity. Legendary Steelers quarterback/TV commentator Terry Bradshaw and TV show host Jerry Springer have both cut albums in Nashville over the years.

Now you can add one golf pro bad boy, who happens to be good buddies with country singer Steve Azar. In fact, John, as Steve’s guest, has been to at least three CMA Music Fests, and John has even been in a country music video or two.

His publicity machine says John’s album is a collection of “heartfelt and semi-autobiogaphical songs.”

Darius Rucker helps sing the title cut, which Rucker also co-wrote.

The album is available now online.
