BMI Honors Songwriters
Taylor Swift, Brooks & Dunn and Kris Kristofferson were among the honorees and winners at the 57th Annual BMI Country Awards, held at the BMI building in Nashville, Nov. 10.

The awards honor the top BMI songs and songwriters of the past year. The ceremony honored Kris Kristofferson as a BMI Icon and named Taylor Swift’s “Love Story” as Song of the Year. Bobby Pinson was named Songwriter of the Year, while Brooks & Dunn received the BMI President’s Award for their prolific career. The highlight of the evening came with the musical tribute to Kris, featuring performances by Willie Nelson, Vince Gill and Patty Griffin.
