Blake's choir, Team Shelton, placed third on the series finale, Dec. 20. But an announcement was made during the show that GE was donating $50,000 to the charities of each of the four choirs that did not win. The Team Shelton charities were Project Rebuild and the Army MWR (Morale, Welfare and Recreation) of Oklahoma. "I couldn't be prouder of this group of talented and energetic young people," said Blake. "I'm not disappointed at all––I've had the time of my life and was thrilled to make it to the finals. To be able to present Project Rebuild and the MWR this money just gives me the best feeling in the world."
