Blake Is Thrilled to Have Three Teen Choice Noms

“You don’t want to be at that point where they’re like, ‘No, I don’t want a picture with him. He’s old and creepy,’” he says.

So how does Blake Shelton feel about having three nominations for the 2012 Teen Choice Awards airing Sunday night (July 22) on Fox? Relieved, mostly.

"Any time that I'm anywhere and somebody has a teenage kid that wants to meet me and have a picture," Blake tells ABC Radio News, "it's like, 'Oh, thank God,' because you don't want to be at that point where they're like, 'No, I don't want a picture with him. He's old and creepy.'"

Taylor Swift is the only country star with a movie nomination: She's up for Choice Movie Voice for giving life to animated character Audrey in The Lorax. Taylor, scheduled to be part of the show, also has four nominations in music categories.

In the all-genre categories, Lady Antebellum is up for a surf board trophy for Choice Music Group, and Eli Young Band is up for Choice Music: Breakout Group.

Pop singer Demi Lovato—who just covered Lady A hit "American Honey" in concert—will co-host the show with Glee's Kevin McHale.
