Blake Surprises Ray Price and Mel Tillis Part 2—CW EXCLUSIVE

As Miranda Lambert tweeted, "Country music binds us together! We are a family. Forever and always. Tonight was a celebration of friends and heroes." Ran was referring to a surprise meeting she and husband Blake Shelton had with Ray Price Thursday night (Jan. 31) at Ray's show in Durant, Okla. As many remember, Blake's recent comments on GAC's Backstory suggesting that country traditionalists were "old farts" got the country legend fired up.

But that was all water under the bridge last night.

Country Weekly learned that Blake was going to surprise Ray at his show at the Choctaw Casino Resort in Durant, just an hour from Blake and Miranda's home in Tishomingo, Okla., and dispatched a photographer to cover the meeting, a symbolic end to one of country music's most polarizing spats.

Ray happily posed for photos with Blake and Miranda prior to his performance, but then had a surprise of his own for Blake when he cajoled him onto the stage to take a bow. Introducing him as his "good friend," Ray told the stunned crowd that, in his opinion, Blake should once again be this year's Male Vocalist of the Year.

Blake and Miranda reportedly stood in the wings watching all of Ray's set, as well as that of Mel Tillis, who took the stage after Ray. Before the show, Blake and Ran visited with Ray and Mel on the veterans' buses.
